There once was a little skidly child named Chris Killeen who enjoyed his punk rock. Chris was a drummer and he set out on a 2 year quest to find someone to jam with. Finally, his quest was completed when he met a young lad that goes by the name of Nigel Forsythe. Nigel was a simple man who also was beggining to fall in love with the world of punk rock and was a guitar player who was also looking for someone to jam with. With Chris on drums, and Nigel on the guitar, they seemed unstoppable and they started the base of what was eventually going to be the band "Destined For Nothing". After 2 more years of experimentation with "garage bands" that weren't working out as well as the members hoped, they finally were ready to call it quits.
Chris and Nigel started losing interest in the whole band idea up until the 11th grade when a skronny man named Dan Ball appeared out of what seemed like nowhere (actually it was his double wide trailor from a trashy trailor park in Quesnel, BC.) Nobody liked Dan when he first arrived in Nelson, and nobody thought anything of him because, afterall, he was from Quesnel.
One day, Chris and Nigel were jammin out at lunch hour, and Nigel just happened to be busting out on the bass. Dan heard something wonderful coming from the other side of the walls that he just so happened to be sitting by, so he walked into the room and picked up the 6 stringed demon (as he likes to call it), and started jammin with Chris and Nigel. It was magical! Chris and Nigel no longer disliked Dan, he was a god to them!
Further down the road, Chris, Dan, a bass player named Jordan, and ANOTHER Chris, were to play a gig at the fluid lounge but as things are, Jordan was unable to make it. Immediately, Chris and Dan thought of NIGEL to play bass for this "gig". Good ol' Nigel was up for the task at hand. They went on to play "The Decline" (an 18 minute song by NOFX for those of you who are a little slow up there), and they "rocked the house". After the gig, Chris, Nigel and Dan said amonng themselves "Hey boys, lets ditch chris #2, and start a band of our very own!"...and there's where it REALLY began. Chris Killeen, Nigel Forsythe and Dan Ball made Destined For Nothing official with what they all shared in common, the love for music and the dream of playing music for millions of people.
This dream did not get too far. The music was good and loud but was missing a certain somthing. We figured it out after much debate that it was the lack of vocals. Nigel tryed but sounded like a mouse. Then Dan tryed and is now not alloud near microphones. Chris...well Chris is a drummer you see. All this trouble led to Nigel putting up posters saying we were looking. We got no response at all. We we're having group crys because of this. No singer meant no band. Then out of the smoke came Charlie Rowley. He was very scared but wanted to try out. After minutes of heated band debate we picked him to be the 4th element. We were finally a "complete" band.
The band is now complete and are writing songs. They plan on going into the studio sometime before summer, and will have a 3 song demo out soon.
